Help with the London 21 website
Logging In
To log in or register as a user for the first time go to ‘My Account’ which appears at the very top of the web page to the left of the net bar (the net bar enables you to swap between the London 21, London Green Map and Love London sites).Having clicked on ‘My Account’ fill in your details and you will be sent an email confirming your user email address and giving you a password. You can then sign in and change your password if you wish via ‘My Account’ / Account Details (Change password options appear at the bottom of the page).
You can click on the ‘My Account’ tab regardless of which of the 3 sites you are viewing and having logged in, you are signed in for each site.
On the Love London site you can also log in via the 'Sign in' icon on the left hand side.
NB The automated email containing your password is sometimes picked up by junk mail filters. Make sure to add the 'office@london21.org' address to your contacts, or whitelist.
Adding projects / articles / news
As a London 21 user you can add items to the site such as projects, articles, news and events. The content you add will be moderated by London 21 staff before it appears on the website. Projects and articles are found under ‘Resources’.
When pasting text onto the website PLEASE first paste your text into Notepad before pasting it onto our site as this will avoid formatting issues. Alternatively you can type text directly onto the website.
You can go back and edit content by visiting the my content page, or by clicking the edit page symbol :
Adding an Image
If you are adding an image you can either paste it directly into the page on the new site or you can click the Insert/ edit image box (The Website Categories
The website categories act as way of grouping almost everything on the website eg News, Events, Articles, Projects and (we hope) are as all-inclusive as possible. When adding any content to the website you will need to group under one of these categories.Categories are used for searches and are also crucial to the London Green Map. On the London Green Map each category will have a symbol that will appear on the map and each organisation, project or business that appears on the map represented by the symbol of the category it is grouped under.
NB For an item to appear on the London Green Map it must have a postcode entered with it.
The categories are:
