Haringey Sustainability Month - June 2009
Filed under: Festival
GREEN EVENTS THROUGHOUT HARINGEY
Everyone is welcome to join in, get info, have fun, and help make a real difference!
To all those who live and work in Haringey — would you like to help ensure…
· protection of the Earth’s Environment?
· sustainable lifestyles based on renewable resources & minimum wastage?
· strong and stable Communities?
· empowerment of local People?
· decisions being made for the long term interests of People and the Environment?
What we do today affects the future, and maybe even the very survival of our society. Environmental crises, especially global climate change, are caused by modern industrial practices and lifestyles reliant on non-renewable and polluting fossil fuel sources. A growing number of Haringey residents & community groups are working together to promote better policies & practices.
